The Stuff the Year Brings

There are things in life that no one can explain. Things that happen and they either help or hurt you. Nothing ever stays the same. Days end, happiness gives way to another emotion, friends leave, and people die. This isn't something that is new to the world. It is how it was meant to be. If everything stayed the same, nothing would be worth fighting for.
This year has been full of changes. First off... the weather hear in Utah has been insanely weird. No snow until the second week of January, which, usually, we have a some odd 5 feet by November!! Not many people realize how badly that messed with my internal seasonal shift thingy. (It's like an internal clock but with the seasons.) I was all out of wack for about a month.
The New Year brought with it many things, along with the snow. A new baby for my neighbors, a funeral or four for the family, new friends, graduation, the loss of some friends... and some insane discoveries!
I learned that writing screenplays is WAY better than writing novels. Though I still love my novels. Meeting actors is another exciting event and it sucks immensely when you don't have pen or paper when it happens, because then you don't have proof that it actually happened. So... note to self. ALWAYS BRING PEN AND PAPER WHEREVER YOU GO! just in case. :)
I also learned that it really sucks when you talk to someone every day for more than a month and then all of a sudden they are just... gone... and you don't know why. That sucks. Especially when that person made you really happy every day that you talked. Missing people is hard... and it hurts knowing that you won't ever talk to them again.
New friends are great! College is going to be so much fun! I can't wait to meet my roommates! Old friends, however, make the world go 'round. They know everything about you, how to make your bad days good, they know how to make you laugh when all you wanna do is cry.
I love my friends.

GRADUATION IS IN 40 DAYS!!!!!!


Yeah that's right people. I'm gonna get my diploma! It is majorly exciting! Hopefully my brother makes it home in time to come to the ceremony. That would be amazing!
Oh! Another discovery is.. ok it's not a discovery, but more of an offer..... I have a chance at a study abroad program where I would get to go to London! The "discovery" of that letter addressed to me was super amazing and I had a party in my PJ's, dancing all over the kitchen! Twas grand!!! I might actually make it to the city of my dreams!! Oh yeah! So happy making!
So, on that loverly note I will be letting you all get on with your fantastic lives. I love you all, because you're so amazing ^^

Summer At Last

The cool breeze wafted into my bedroom through the open window.  Birds chirped and fluttered through the air and the crisp, clean morning air made my bed chamber into a fairy tale scene.  My eyes slowly opened, taking in the light from the sun that seemed so lost.  Months had gone by when the sun was no where to be seen, but today it was there like a beacon to the world.  My mind raced as it took in the sounds and smells of the morning.  Another smell came floating into my room but not through my window.  My bedroom door hung ajar and through the small opening came the smell of pancakes and eggs, hash browns and bacon!!  A perfect morning!  I throw the covers off my bed, slide my feet into a pair of slippers and skip down the stairs.  Mother is standing in her PJ's at the stove, bacon sizzling away.  Pancakes are piled high on the table next to a large plate of scrambled eggs.  My father is sitting at the table buttering a slice of...

So I lied.. oops.......

Alright, I had everything ready to go up, but then school kind of bombarded me with all sorts of stuff!!! My characters may have been off strike but my teachers certainly weren't!!! I am so sorry for not having things posted like I said I would. I'm working on it today so there should be more up soon..... I won't tell an actual day because that always comes back to bite me on the nose.
