If you never try, who will ever know?

Well, for anyone who cares, this is my first time to have ever entered a blog entry.... yeah I know, I just pointed out the obvious, and if you know me at all, I do that a lot.... Call me Captain!!  So, as this is my first an only post thus far, I should probably introduce myself.  My name is Jorge.... Jorge Gonzuella... Not really... My name is Ali........ Spensko.  Feel free to call me anything, I'm good with that.  I probably have more nicknames than the Webster's Dictionary has words... yeah, I know, that's a lot right? Well, that's a topic for a different date... I decided to create a blog out of the pure enjoyment of it... I write, a lot..  I have journals upon journals stacked in my closet, all of them are filled, but what about the words that I have in my heart that no one will ever hear?? The words that mean the world to me, will anyone ever get to see them?? I sure hoped so, but now, as I sit behind this computer screen the idea came to me "Blog it."  I was reading the blog of a dear friend, always enjoying what she writes, never commenting or writing anything of my own... so thanks to her, I have my own blog.  That hopefully others will read. I doubt many people will, and I doubt many people even care about the words I wish to say, but it's worth a shot.  After I hit save, and these words hit the World Wide Web, there's no taking it back... they will be there forever.... so anyone who has ever cared, can spread the name, and let others hear the words.... it's the least I can do.... and don't get me wrong, I don't want attention. I never have wanted attention...... I just am to the point in my life that it feels like I'm all alone.  No one will listen, no one will even pretend to care, so therefore, if I can put enough words into the WWW I might get one person to listen.... I know it's a long shot, and I know it might just be a waist of time and words, but at least I tried.... can you blame me for trying??? 
My daddy once said, "If you're not going to try, you might as well give up.  You might as well just turn your back on what you believe and act as if you don't care. What you hope to acheive will never be made real unless you take that baby step and try."  He may not remember the words, but I do.  I remember sitting in that folding lawn chair outside the camping trailer, encircled by the glow of the campfire and surrounded by my family... I remember how I felt when he said those words, and I remember them word for word.  You can't just not try... because if you don't try, who will ever know what you were willing to do?  Who will ever know the anomoly that is you? Who will know what your dreams were?  What you wanted to become?  What star you looked at in the sky?  Who will know what makes you you, if you never try?
