A Life's Creed

Life isn't about what you do, it is about who's lives you touch. No matter the troubles or hardships endured, endure them well. Don't let the little things that may seem so big get in the way of what really matters.
As I am coming to the end of a life I have always known a new life unfolds in a marvelous array of colors and patterns yet to be understood. Fear is ever present, but that will not hold me back from moving forward into the wild blue yonder of experience.
Let the things that mean the most grow into the best thing the human imagination could possibly come up with. Life only gets better, no matter the amount of troubles piling up higher and higher. Always have a smile, never leave home without one. Never be afraid to say hello or offer a helping hand. Opportunities are missed when fear takes over.
People come and people go but don't ever let them go unnoticed. Each life that mingles, even if for but a moment, with another is meaningful and special in impossible ways. Treat everyone with respect and love.
Success and failure mean little in life if you are alone at the end of the road. Don't go at anything alone, trust people enough to let them help and advice. Don't ever forget the people who helped. They will one day mean more than anything money could buy. Success isn't having everything without no one, it is having something with someone. That "something" is happiness. If happiness is really and truly there, everything you could ever dream is right there, don't close your eyes to what is right in front of you.
So as this chapter of life comes to a close, don't forget the people who matter, and if they matter enough, don't say goodbye... because goodbye means going away... and going away means forgetting... and if I thought for one second that I would forget all who made a difference in my life, I would never leave.
